PatioMaster is pleased to unveil the brand new in-line sliding patio door which
now achieves Secured by Design status - the Police’s highest security accolade
Historically patio doors have been seen, rather inaccurately, as a weak point in
a home’s security. With PatioMaster’s new Secured by Design product this myth can
now be well and truly dispelled.
Secured by Design Specification
The PatioMaster Secured by Design in-line sliding door has enhanced security specification
to allow it to meet the high standards of the Police Approved initiative.
Key features include:

1. Patio Interlock bolts
|

There are two of these, located at the top and bottom of the door. They lock the
sliding panel to fixed panel to ensure the two cannot be forced apart.

2. Security head rail
|
|
A full width rail running across the top of the opening panel prevent the sliding
door being lifted off the track.

|
|
|
|
3. Full height security keep rail to support the sliding door at each corner.
|
|
|
|
4. PAS24 handle
|
|
High security handle with an enhanced back plate designed to withstand sustained
manual attack.

|
|
|
|
5. Anti-bump cylinder
|
|
The anti-bump cylinder has been designed to effectively counter this new method
of gaining access to cylinder locks

What is Secured by Design?
SBD is the official UK Police flagship initiative supporting the principles of designing
out crime.
The SBD logo and title 'Police Preferred Specification' logo indicates that an organisation
meets the quality standards set by Secured by Design. Usage of the logo is restricted
exclusively to those products that have been successfully tested to the requirements
of Secured by Design.
